franciscan is a lgbtq community. all characters who identify as lgbtq+ are welcome in this space, including those who are bisexual or asexual. however, we will not accept anyone with a history of ic or ooc abuse. it is essential to maintain respect and understanding towards one another, and any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. this is a collaborative hobby, and we expect all participants to act maturely and refrain from bullying. our policy on harassment is strict, and we have a zero-tolerance approach. should any issues arise, please reach out to us for moderation or intervention rather than taking matters into your own hands. anonymous harassment will not be tolerated, and past grievances in the community should be left behind.

journals may be either ic or ooc without the use of underscores, extraneous numbers, or additional letters. it is required to have a friends only post that is restricted to the community, or to configure your comment settings to friends only. this measure is intended to prevent anonymous harassment. your ooc entry should include your character's name, date of birth, age, occupation, place of birth, and similar details. while a biography or additional information is not mandatory, it is strongly recommended. both entries should be backdated.

after you join you have 72 hours to intro and 48 to run the friends only button. your intros can be anything interactive that you'd like. something traditional, a survey, activity, etc.

we'd love for this to be a community where people update more than once because they're inspired but we only require you to update once a month. your updates must be something substantial or at the very least, it should have some effort showing. narratives, moodboards, multi-media posts, etc.

no wire/discord/etc! journals only please. apps are not something every single person can use and it's not something every person wants to use. what is something everyone can use? something everyone is on insanejournal for? journals! we don't mind if you are already on discord and have people to chat or plot with ooc however anything ic or anything that impacts anyone ic has to be on insanejournal.
